Let’s take it back to December 2020, where in a joint CNN interview with VP Kamala Harris, Joe Biden was asked how he would handle his first “impasse” with the Vice President, and he responds with “I’ll develop some disease and say I have to resign.” Of course, even four years ago, rational human beings were able to see so clearly that Biden was a cognitive shell of his former self, so who knows what he actually meant to say in that moment, but It is definitely a fair question to ask whether or not this was always the play? Even a Politico article from 2019 during the Democratic primaries signaled that Biden is aiming to be a one term candidate, built on stopping MAGA and giving birth to the future of the Democrat party as the last “moderate” candidate.
The real question we have to ask ourselves is what is exactly the “play” here from the left. For four years we were all lied to and gaslit from the corporate media establishment that there is nothing mentally or physically inept about President Biden, and that he just suffers from a stutter that he has had his entire life. Why exactly would they run Joe Biden only for four years, just to potentially replace him with Vice President Kamala Harris? If they truly wanted Kamala to be the nominee, why not run her in 2020 against Donald Trump? It seems as if their greatest window of opportunity to elect the first Black, female President of the United States would have been in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, where the number of mail-in votes went from just 21% in 2016, all the way up to nearly 50% of all votes casted in 2020.
You might say that Harris was just so unpopular at the time and that they wouldn’t have been able to get her to 80 million votes, but even if you accepted that as true (which its not- if theres enough political will and ability to cheat, It truly wouldn’t matter who is running), can anyone point out anything that she has done in the last four years that has made her any more favorable to voters, besides begrudgingly aligning herself with “Scranton Joe.”?
During one of the primary debates in 2019, although she did preface her statement with saying that she doesn’t believe Biden is a racist, she viciously scolded him for supporting two Senators, James Eastland (D-MS) and Herman Talmage (D-GA), who she claims built their reputations on advocating against racially integrating the American school system. Not only did Biden show these men support, he himself made similar claims. In a 1977 Congressional hearing, Biden stated that desegregating the schools would end up creating a “racial jungle”. To be completely fair, and putting aside today’s Weekend At Bernies version of Joe Biden, there are a few historic examples of which I completely agree with, and would have voted Democrat myself if these were the policies being pushed today, the “racial jungle” quote being one of them. Another is the 1993 speech on the Senate floor where Biden is discussing the racial implications of the proposed “crime bill”, where he argues that It does not matter what the reasons are for those committing crime because if we are not vigilant in protecting the civil fabric of our society, we will soon have “predators on our streets.” The 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act resulted in the number of sentenced inmates under state or federal jurisdiction rising by 27% from 1995-2002, with a 7:1 incarceration rate between Blacks and Whites. The obvious and correct takeaway from this bill, as Biden points out in his speech, is that the reason and blame for these incarcerations is not “racism” or “systematic injustices”, but is in fact the demonstrative behavior of these individuals on a larger per capita scale. Anyone arguing against this bill and its implications thereof is not to be taken seriously.
Contrast this with the current stance of the Democratic party of “Diversity is our greatest strength”, and we can see just how far we have fallen as a nation. Whether you like It or not, Biden in both of these instances is 100% correct, and as we see the expansion of racial integration in our schools, neighborhoods, and work places, we see a correlated increase of racial tension in this country. Just last year, a 2023 Rasmussen poll asked black voters if they agree or disagree with the statement “It is Ok to be White”, where 47% of those polled answered with either “unsure” or “disagree”. As White and Black Americans, we should be more focused on serving our own communities and looking out for our respective groups, rather than trying to force ourselves to live among one another.
If you’re reading this and that sounds hateful or bigoted to you, then you probably don’t live in a racially diverse area, because as soon as you step out of your homogenous lifestyle, you’ll see exactly what I, and at the time Senator Joe Biden are talking about.
And hey, don’t just take It from me, the legacy of segregation has crept its way back into the mainstream, with liberal schools like MIT and California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) who currently have black only dormitories for their students and former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot who said during a press conference that she will only grant interviews from Black reporters. The irony here is that I have absolutely no problem with Mayor Lightfoot making these comments, or these institutions setting up segregated living spaces, I welcome them actually. The issue that I have is that White people are not allowed to use the same rhetoric or hold themselves to the same level of racial identity as Black Americans do, and this needs to change. You can try to argue and say that these are just isolated examples and not indicative of a bigger cultural dilemma, but there are countless examples of the horrific state of race relations in America that I will not belabor in this post.
The reason that the aforementioned racial illustration matters so much is because of the lefts undying need to prop up and include racial and gendered minorities. Passing over a Black woman for the rumored Gavin Newsom (D-CA) or Pete Buttigieg (D-IN) for the Presidential nomination will be a tough sell to the voter base and will be a PR nightmare. For however much value you place on polling data, the majority of the polls show that Trump is the favorite to beat Kamala in the general election, but the margins do seem to be rather slim with the RCP average saying +1.7 in Trumps favor. However, the one thing that I think should be given real consideration is the betting markets, because if there is one thing we all know to be true, the “house” hates to lose money on a bet. The odds makers favorite Trump heavily, giving him roughly a 61% chance at defeating Kamala in November. With this being the case, the level of election malfeasance that would have to take place in the absence of a pandemic will be very strenuous and perhaps an impossibility, and perhaps that is the play, who knows? Maybe the play is to prop up Kamala as the Black female candidate as a suicide mission, to then be able to spend the next four years complaining about how racist and sexist America still is and how the country still has so much further to go in terms of racial and gender equality.
Personally, I cannot imagine a scenario in which the political left waves the white towel for the Presidency. Let’s also keep in mind, Biden was not removed from the ticket for his senility or inability to lead the country, It was because of his handling of the conflict in Israel. The Democrat base is overwhelmingly supportive of Palestine than they are with Israel, with about 50% of voters being in favor of Palestine compared to 38% in favor of Israel. Protests all over the country of young American voters propped up on college campuses calling the President “genocide Joe” , which is a large reason why Joe Biden is performing so poorly as his first term begins to wind down.
Unfortunately for the base, the political class has a much greater influence and far stronger punch than some pesky college voters. You may ask yourself who exactly is the political class on the left, but you probably wont actually be able to come up with any specific names to point to, you’ll more likely just default to a couple of entities or groups of outspoken leaders like CNN/MSNBC, the “squad”, or the DNC as a selective body, but do not be mistaken, words are not merely as capable of capturing influence as money. The top 10 donors to the Democrat party are all either ethnically or religiously Jewish, making the conflict in the middle-east the crux of Biden’s removal. To the base’s own detriment, advocating for the party to replace Biden for someone who is more favorable to the Palestinians is simply not on the table for the Democratic ticket. Joe Biden was actually the countries best option (even better than Trump) and despite all his failures and gaffes, he has at least tried to push back on the Israeli retaliation and aggression in Gaza.
In April 2024, Biden withheld a shipment of 3,500 munitions from Israel, he has also stated that the United States would not support a conflict with Hezbollah, and in a private meeting Biden called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an “asshole” (which is actually a very generous insult). Whether or not Biden has the political will or capability of keeping Israel in check, at the very least the rhetoric is directionally good, and is more than what we will get with any other Democratic nominee, or Trump for that matter.
With what seems like a full endorsement of Kamala Harris for the 2024 Presidential nominee by President Biden via his Official X account, It is almost certain that she will get her chance to fulfill the legacy of Hillary from 2016. There are also some disturbing similarities between the two, the most obvious being the annoying cackle and that they both gained their political ascendency by sleeping with men (at least Hillary has some class and she was sleeping with her husband). All jokes aside, the Harris ticket seems very likely, and the talks of who her Vice President should be have already begun. Now that Biden is out, and rural American democrats are left empty handed with their “moderate” candidate being cast aside, getting them to turn out for Kamala is going to be a tall challenge, perhaps their hatred for Donald Trump will be enough, but I wouldn’t bank on that if I were the left. They need to partner her with someone who can appeal to these voters and who will make It seem as if the “adults” are in charge of things. Assuming Kamala remains the nominee, the likely choice is a “white guy from a swing state”. We will see how this plays out over the next few weeks, with the convention being scheduled in August, but someone to keep an eye on is the Governor from Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro (D-PA). In the wake of the college protests, Shapiro came out and stated that these protests are “unacceptable” because of the institutions lack of ability to keep their Jewish students safe. Shapiro is the Jewish Governor of a heavily contested and vital swing state to securing an electoral college victory, and after having just won his statewide election in 2022, theres no reason to believe that the Harris/Shapiro ticket would not be victorious. This ticket would perfectly serve the donor class of the Democratic party, and will ensure that in the midst of a collapsing economy, a flooded border, and rampant crime, that our “ally” Israel will be completely supported and protected. Kamala, just as recently as April 2024, stated that America’s protection of Israel is “ironclad” and that “we stand with the people of Israel in defense against these attacks”. The only problem with this statement is that the “attacks” occurred on one single day in October 2023, and every day since then, there has been an all out, relentless attack on the innocent people in Gaza. There is so much more that could be said on this issue as well but I will withhold from ranting.
The final trick up the sleeve so to speak for the Democrats, and perhaps this is the “real” play that I was talking about earlier, starting from what Biden said in 2019 leading up to his declination to run for the 2024 election on Sunday July 21, 2024, is to have an open convention, and give Hillary one final stab at defeating Donald Trump and assuming her “deserved” spot as the first woman President of the United States. Although Hillary lost in 2016 and her popularity at the time was her ultimate demise in that election, along with a resurrected spirit of the Republican base, her vanishing into the shadows and becoming a political recluse for the last 8 years may actually play into her favor. The Democrats could be banking on the fact that people have forgotten just how unlikeable she really is, and with only 4 months left until the election in November, they will be pushing a strong message of unity among the party while propagandizing the evil that will come from a Trump/Vance Presidency.
The Hillary swap of Kamala can be easily branded as It being “her turn” , with a promise to include Harris as the Vice President, or to punt Harris’s “turn” to the 2028 cycle. Hillary is also far more pro Israel than Biden, stating that the protesters “don’t know very much” and that the Hamas rule in Gaza must end (Yes, Biden believes Hamas should be defeated as well, but at least he has shown the desire to keep Bibi in check). A Clinton/Shapiro ticket would be just as strong, if not stronger than a Harris/Shapiro ticket, and should probably be seen as a strong possibility in the coming weeks.
So are you “With Her?”
